Hi perio guys: may be someone can help me with a reference relative to the calculus at the cej. As far as i remember (from in-service exams) this article sais that after closed ( or maybe even after open flap curretage) the mostly found residual calculus was the one at the cej. tooth whitening by hygienists

Here in Israel , there are some prosthodontists who let their hygienist do the tooth whitening for their patients. I guess this is ok provided there is appropriate supervision by the prosthodontist or the general practitioner. However, lately my own hygienists asked me to do this job in my office. Following the encouraging publications from the last couple of years, we start seeing more and more patients being treated with Aclasta® (zoledronic acid 5 mg) for osteoporosis. Yes, the imaging and technology group would be a good place to start. You could pose a question and the members in the group can respond. By the way, Paul Smith, one of the WebDental members, is an IT/Network specialist and is very knowledgeable. Nick Manzoli, BU DMD and Endo, also knows a lot about Macs, etc. Ed Walk is another good resource. So, please post your questions in the technology group and I will make sure that these guys help you out.
