I grew up in Little Neck (Queens) New York, graduated from Benjamin N.Cardozo HS in 1981, and Queens College in 1986, spending 1985 in Paris in en exchange program between the City University of New York and the Sorbonne. I then attended Boston University Goldman School of Graduate Dentistry (now known as Boston University School of Dental Medicine!) and graduated in 1990. I then worked for a year and did a GPR at Boston City Hospital in 1992 (now Boston Medical Center). In 1991 I married my wife Margot, and after completing my residency we moved to Freehold, New Jersey in 1993. We had our first child Michael in 1994, and our second, Natalie, in 1998. In 1997, I bought my practice in Howell, NJ, and in 2002 moved to a larger office to accommodate our growing patient base. At one point I had 5 associates working for me, and over 20 staff members, but I have since downsized to two associates, when I figured out that bigger isn't always better! I love dentistry and the challenges it brings, I never presume to "know everything," as I see new things almost every day! I am, however, frustrated by the current state of dental insurance! I inherited many PPO plans (no HMO/DMO plans, thankfully) and have slowly cut them down to five.... How to cut more without losing patients.....
