Here in Israel , there are some prosthodontists who let their hygienist do the tooth whitening for their patients. I guess this is ok provided there is appropriate supervision by the prosthodontist or the general practitioner. However, lately my own hygienists asked me to do this job in my office. I told them we cant do this in my (periodontal) office for two main reasons : 1. I dont have enough knowledge and i cant take responsibility on such treatments. 2. my refering dentists wont like it at all....
Could any of the members give his own view on this subject?? (i hope i get comments not only from periodontists!
