Please comment on your experience with cone beam ct scanners in your office. Are there any advantages of one manufacturer over another? Any difficulties encountered? Ease of use?
The cone beam scanner is a tremendous tool for the diagnosis and treatment planning our surgical implant cases. We presently refer our cases to a local facility, even though we treat enough cases per month to cover the cost of an in-office scanner. I, too, am curious about the experiences of the members with in-office scanners. Is there a preferred manufacturer? Leasing vs. buying? Any maintenance or technical issues? Any thoughts on this?
